Don’t go here unless you are an old man who wants the same basic haircut at an old many with straight hair. They only know how to give one type of haircut. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE EVEN SLIGHTLY CURLY HAIR.

Sportsman’s is great and everyone I send to see my guy Doug, my barber for for years, is extremely glad they have a new barber! Mikey is great, too! Doug is a great barber as well as a good friend!! Love stopping in for a quick trim, love when I have time for a old school shave and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quality cut and a great experience from start to finish!

BEST barbershop in Austin, hands down. This place is a hidden gem. It's a relaxed, no-frills environment. I've been going here for years and cannot say enough good things about this place. Got my haircut here for both my wedding and law school graduation and they knocked it out the park, as usual. Mikey and all of the guys here are fantastic at what they do. I'm always impressed by the level of attention/detail they put into even the easiest men's haircuts. And to top it off, they provide a really fair price. You're doing yourself a huge disservice if you go anywhere else in Austin.

This is a top notch barbershop! Doug is my favorite barber there. He has been cutting my hair for years so wherever he goes, I follow! The people here at this barbershop hit the soul and heart in a different way, because not only do you get a great haircut, but you make a friend. I cannot give a better recommendation. You won’t be disappointed with the gentlemen that work here, including the owner who ALWAYS greets me.

Mikey and team are the best barbershop in town. They are a hidden gem due to the no-frills nature of the shop. Anyone who goes to the shop is paying a reasonable price for a damn good haircut. I’ve been going to the shop for over a decade and I will continue doing so. Whether its been a short (ish) buzz cut or trimming of longer men's hair, it has all looked great.
