Spiff for Men

It’s an amazing service, very professional team and the prices are really worth it. I was staying at the trump hotel (central park) but unfortunately the pedicure service was starting a bit too late for me. I was directed to the Spiff, which was a really good thing. For every man who visits New York it is a must to take the service (including shoe polish). Thank you so much.

Wicked overpriced for the quality they were doing. Place was beautiful but staff seemed like it was all their first day. I asked for a beard shave and a buzzed haircut. Dude spoke zero English which I have nothing against but how you gonna do what the client wants if you don’t understand. Got my nose waxed and the woman went ham. Like way to aggressive. And I was snorting out wax for two days after. Plus they were adamant about washing my scalp. Whyyyy I’m bald. For a chain I would expect better over all quality.

Great first experience. Manicure and beard trim/neck razor shave. The lovely women there treat you well, including to some fine american whiskey or vodka (or coffee/tea), then proceed to do their magic at the same time. A menage a trois of cosmetology? I was in and out in under and hour, never felt rushed, and the results were tiptop. Will definitely be back.

Spiff is simply an outstanding salon - very likely the best in New York City. That is no small feat by any means. You not only leave looking like a million bucks - you leave feeling like a million bucks as well. The stylists (Carlos, Abbey and everyone else) are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced and the rest of the staff is equally talented. Danny (the owner) is one of the nicest folks you will ever meet and knows sports as incredibly in depth as he knows style. It is often said that people only write reviews online for poor experiences and top of the line experiences and I'm probably guilty of that. They have earned the glowing review and I hope to keep going to Spiff for years to come.

Tl;Dr: The staff I encountered tonight didn't understand English at all and cut off more of the hair that i'll probably never get back. FML - I went to this place for maybe my 5th time tonight. Before I went, I happened to be browsing the reviews for the place (while seeking the phone number to call an appointment in) and saw one which mentioned how his stylist didnt speak english. Unfortunately, that's the one I got tonight and I will never, ever go back to this place.
