Amateur hour. I only used these guys since they were sent by my home warranty company. Stay away. The tech showed up on a Saturday while I was upstairs and my kids answered the door. They didn't call me or anything, just "serviced" the heater, found nothing wrong and then left. I get a call today from my home warranty company who said nothing is wrong, even though it wouldn't heat above 87 degrees and the service heater light kept coming on I called Southwest Pool and Spa directly and was rudely cut off in my explanation by the person I talked to (Jose). He then told me off for cutting him off as if he didn't do the exact same thing. I explained that the tech didn't even call me or knock a second time to give me a report. NEVER USE THEM. Short lady who came out had no clue what she was doing. She said the pump was stressed out due to being higher than the pool level. The pump has been working in the same spot for 11 years. I’m not a pool equipment expert, but I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t have lasted that long if it was incorrectly installed 11 years ago. Home warranty denied the claim because of her. I had to have someone else come out and they replaced the control board and the pump is still working just fine. Horrible company.

If I could rate this 0 stars I would. Warranty claim was denied and I have no idea why. I never got a diagnosis as to what the problem with my pool was, so I basically gave away $65 and have to have another pool company that knows what they’re doing come back out. I’ve figured out they make money from service fees from warranty company only, because no one in their right mind would use them. First Choice needs to drop them. NEVER use them!

Company canceled their first appointment due to poor weather when it was slightly overcast outside. When the company did come, they said all the failures in my pool (check valve, pressure gauge, and booster pump motor) were all due to chemical build up so the home warranty company would deny the claim. This was based on a 3 minute visit without turning any pool equipment on. Do not use this company and if the warranty company tries to use them, request a different company.

Southwest came out to look at my filter (home warranty claim), took check for service fee. 6 weeks later still no update, despite leaving 2 voicemails with Southwest. Called home warranty company, when they reached Southwest they claimed to have never been at my house. How come you then took a check and cashed the check. STAY AWAY FRAUDLENT COMPANY
