Yesterday I went to this nail salon for a manicure with hard gel removal, and it was the worst manicure I have ever had in my life. The removal was done with an electric drill and the bit was used so aggressively that it was actually painful. Several times I flinched because of the pain. The drill slipped and touched my skin a few times, which was not only uncomfortable but also dangerous. On top of that, the hard gel was not even removed properly. The work looked very unprofessional. This manicure felt traumatic!! Today my nail plates are still hurting. I cannot function normally because of the pain, which is completely unacceptable after a simple manicure. This was the worst experience I have had in my 31 years, and I will never come back to this salon again. I strongly advise others

They were able to accommodate a walk in on a weekend as the place seemed pretty empty, but I later learned why. Very much targeted towards just overcharging people for very very mediocre / below average service. I asked if they could do a cat eye manicure, they said they could, and then 3 different technicians tried many many times to make it work and look like it’s supposed to, but clearly none of them had any idea of what to do. I just gave up eventually, paid and left. You can tell by the staff’s attitude that the intention is to just do the bare minimum and get you out the door.

I want to cry leaving this salon. I was already so busy and didn’t have time for a mani but wanted to take a quick moment for myself. I asked for shellac, the girl barely filed and cleaned my nails and started moving so quickly. She painted my nails so messily that I asked for chrome on top thinking it would cover all the mistakes, blobs and bubbles. She got chrome stuck all over my fingers and proceeded to file at my skin to remove it. So painful. I said I didn’t feel comfortable paying for this manicure. It’s honestly the worst manicure I’ve ever received. The massage was like two slaps at my hand. They made such a scene about me not feeling comfortable to pay and I gave in and paid for the $50 horrible manicure. Don’t waste your time or money.

To say my mani/pedi was “meh” would be generous. The tech asked if I wanted her to put some lavender salts into the foot bath. It was only when the manager came over right before she put them in to tell me it would be a nearly $40 up charge (!!!) that I stopped her. They said they could use fast-dry drops, which they definitely did not use for either the manicure or the pedicure. I can’t believe I actually paid for the manicure. I didn’t even see just how bad it was until I left. My 7-year-old could have done a better job. I needed to redo the whole thing as soon as I got home. I’ve never had my nails filed so poorly, the polish was uneven, and there were bubbles everywhere.

I needed a new nail salon in the area and I am so happy I found Soho Bubble Spa! First, their prices are great - very reasonable for the area and the services they offer. They offer online booking, which is incredibly convenient. Sandy did my gel manicure and did an excellent job. The salon is also very clean and quiet. I highly recommend!!
