Amazing Experience! Jamey greeted me and instantly made me feel comfortable. After a few minutes of getting to know each other, she guided me to a room with a chair, table, shower and float spa. She provided verbal information and instructions on prepping for the float and in case I missed something, there is a reminder page with things to do before getting in the float spa on the table. There are also hooks provided on the wall next to the chair and shower for a bag, clothes or towel. The shower has a shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispenser on the wall and a shower chair is available for those who need to sit during the shower. Ear plugs are provided. The whole experience was delightful and I look forward to another float! Thank you, Jamey!
My husband went here to try and relieve his sore muscles from working overtime as a concrete foreman. He said the experience was really neat, and his skin was definitely softer when he came home. Some pimples on his back dried up. He did not notice a change in his muscle soreness, though. If you have any cuts on your body it will sting. They do offer a petroleum jelly to put on cuts so that the salt doesn't get into it. You are lead to a room and have the room completely to yourself. So you can have the lights on or off, the door to the float open or closed etc. He got a 1 hr in there and his fingers and toes did not get wrinkly, if that matters to anyone lol. Happy Relaxing!
I am also a massage therapist and I’m telling you Jamey is one of the best. I was attacked by dogs a few years ago, and her float tanks were the only thing that finally regulated my nervous system from the ptsd, and her skill with massage has helped me work through so many other issues. The environment is safe and welcoming and very calming. Big thank you and highly recommend 🫶
After reading "Tools of Titans" by Tim Ferriss, I was intrigued about the idea of floating and a quick Google search led me to SO Float Spa. I expected the whole experience to be a little bit "hippy", but that was not the case at all. The float is difficult to describe and I assume everyone has different experiences with it, but think of it as turning your brain off and disconnecting from all the static for an hour. Overall, a top notch experience. Update: My wife and I both booked a float after running a marathon and cannot recommend it enough. It significantly reduced soreness and made recovery much quicker.
We are especially fortunate to have a float center here in the Rogue Valley! If you haven't experienced floating, you owe it to yourself to schedule the most relaxing and restorative 60 or 90 minutes available. The chattering mind turns off, the body deeply relaxes, and peace is restored, at least for a while. The owner, Jamey is delightful, the spa is small but peaceful, and the tanks modern and clean, with a private shower in the room. Give it a try!
