I have never been more thankful for our local newspaper. With one reporter they not only bring us the pictures and stories of all going right in our wonderful little town - but, most recently, have investigated and brought to light critical issues with our Town and County governments. I don’t know how you do it - but thank you a million times over!!! Job well done!!!

A good place to get the local news. If not for The Smithfield Times, county residents would barely know of any current events in our area. The two major papers in the Hampton Roads area forget that Smithfield is a part of Hampton Roads. They rarely report anything concerning Smithfield and the surrounding counties.
