Smith and Morgan Salon

I have never had a better experience at a hair salon in New York. I cannot recommend this salon enough! Erin, who works the front desk and takes care of all scheduling (and basically everything) is so warm and personable and very patient with me 😂 Morgan is my stylist, and he is amazing. He’s given me the best haircut and color I’ve ever had, because he understands what I needed (even before I did) He specializes in curly hair, which is important to me. I came in with very bright red hair and a severe stacked short cut from my last salon, and he knew exactly what the right color would be for me, and suddenly I had beautiful golden strawberry blonde hair (I’m a natural blonde, the color is just naturally dull), and the shade and highlights are perfect. I went to see Tennessee because my hair was in dire need of TLC! He carefully listened to me & not only did he give me a beautiful tailored cut, but he gave me a revamp on my highlights. Truly the best!

Great cut from Jairo, who understood what I needed with very little input from me. I’ve been going to the same hairdresser for almost 35 years, so you could say I’m set in my ways, but Jairo has a new regular customer!

Came in with a terrible cut I had led grown out over six months. Morgan immediately knew what went wrong at the last salon, and exactly what I needed. He cut me the gorgeous layers I wanted, paid attention to my hair type and how I style at home, and one of the best blow outs of all time. I left the salon feeling like a hair model — I literally got a compliment on the walk home. Added bonus? He’s a gem to talk to. Thank you for the beautiful cut!

I got my haircut for the first time today with Morgan. All I was hoping for was that he could fix a horrendous haircut I had at another salon, figuring it would take multiple visits to repair. Morgan ended up giving me the best haircut I’ve ever had and I walked out of there feeling like I hit the lottery. The salon is wonderfully chill, Morgan is a delight and beyond talented, Erin at the front desk was wonderful and I’m so grateful I found this salon and have already booked the next appointment.
