As someone with curly hair, it’s not always easy to find a hair stylist that you end up sticking with for the long run. At least this has been my experience for a good chunk of my adult life. I just wanted to highlight Jania, one of the hair stylists at the North Utica Smart Style salon in Walmart. Jania has cut my hair not once, but twice. I can’t say enough about how much I actually like my haircut! I usually would get a cut, go home, and restyle, without really enjoying my new look. Hair cuts really became something I had to “get it over with” and it was something I accepted. Jania has a beautiful way with cutting curls…and of course other textures of hair as well! She has a friendly and sweet personality, asks questions about what you would like, and explains everything. I am already l

I will only bring my little guy who has Autism to the North Utica Walmart smart styles salon as everyone there is very nice, understanding, and accommodating. They work with him and I, not against us. They aren’t afraid of a little noise (crying) and reassure him throughout his whole haircut that he is okay. Hands down, always the best experience!

My experience was great. The hairdresser Kim was excellent. Nice to chat with, very caring, did awesome job on my hair, and she was very pretty. If my hair grew back fast enough I'd go see kim every weekend.

Never had a bad experience here. All the stylists are super friendly and give you exactly what you ask for! Two specific stylists that go above and beyond are Jania and Melanie! Keep up the the great work ladies! Love my new haircut!
