Soooo.....I was a first time customer last night and my experience was AMAZING!!! I wanted a braided small boho bob not knotless (hair included in price) but ended up liking and keeping the lenght. I called at 5:30 pm and was there around 6. They immediately started. 3 people on my head at once. Was done around 10pm flat. 4 hours is crazy in a good way. No fuss or drama. Clean facility and parts on my hair. They were meticulous. Respectful staff even with unruly customers and with a reasonable price. I will definitely be returning.

I arrived at the salon at 12:30 PM and did not leave until 8:00 PM. Despite the amount of time spent, I was extremely dissatisfied with the final result and will not be returning. It is unprofessional and unethical to assure a client that you can properly execute a style when you cannot, simply to collect payment. I was charged $300, yet the service did not meet basic professional standards. In addition to the poor quality of work, the customer service was unacceptable. I asked whether the braids were medium-sized, as requested, because they appeared smaller than what I asked for. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, the braider gave me a dismissive look and spoke to a coworker in another language, which made me uncomfortable. A bit confusing but you have to book with Vava African hair braiding on booksky. Super nice beauty supply store with Braiders in the back. Everything is affordable and clean. Braiding prices are fair. I didn’t experience any rudeness or lying about prices. I was told $250 over the phone, when I got there we confirmed $250 and actually the price went down to $230 because I brought my own hair. Sorry for those who had a bad experience. There definitely was a language barrier but nothing drastic. I love my Fulani braids!!

I had an amazing experience at this braiding shop! The stylists are professional, friendly, and really know what they’re doing. My braids came out perfect — neat, clean, and exactly how I wanted them. The shop is welcoming and the atmosphere is great too. I got so many compliments afterward! I had an amazing experience getting my hair braided at Susie Braids! The service was fast, the team was wonderful, and everyone was so friendly. The salon is very clean and welcoming, and my braids came out beautifully. I highly recommend this place — great people and great work!
