Shuangda Massage Spa

The massage in the basement which was different was FANTASTIC! I wanted so badly to leave a good review. Would have been 5 stars on the service. My complaint is the facility. The lights too much downstairs. The actual massage was FANTASTIC. They asked for a tip and payment before the massage (weird!) I did pay for my massage 90 minutes $76. At the end I gave a $20 tip according to my calculations 26% considered generous. I was immediately told by a gentleman at the front desk to tip her more (weird!). I was told it was a hard strong massage. I told them the tip is close to 30% they told me to lower my voice and to exit the facility. Good massage bad management, sadly I won’t return. I don’t like to be guilt tripped into anything! Disgusting disappointed in management! Pay your workers mor

Came here for an massage. The massage was decent, although she was walking on my spine as if she was trying to slackline. Other than that, massage was a 3/5. Worst part was the tipping. She massaged me for 1h30min and when I wanted to tip her 10$, she and the owner got all frantic. They insisted me to tip more, which I didn’t because I do not tolerate this behavior. Super unfriendly and a lot of cursing. I wouldn’t recommend this place again.

Seriously, avoid this place if you can. I went in today because my usual place on 85th was all booked up. I’ve been having massages at places like this for the last 25 years in New York City and this was one of the absolute worst. The woman had no strength in her hands and only used her elbow. She also spent more than half the massage on my butt and legs when I specifically asked for focus on my neck and shoulders. Like an uncomfortable amount of time on my butt. It was creepy. Also, she and the woman in the room next to me talked for much of the massage which was very disturbing. I still gave a 30% tip at the end of the massage, which I was made to feel badly about because I had asked her to be strong on my back. I will never be back and I encourage you to find anywhere else

Yes I had the same experience as Toni Toni. I had a half hour massage for 28. Since I was paying by card, they wanted to add tax onto the total with the tip. When I asked them to do the calculation without the tip and add the tip on after, all three women started screeching at me and refused to listen to what I was saying. They called the owner who understood and all were very happy. I was tempted to not tip, although the massage was decent. One of the worst experiences I’ve had in NY, my hometown. Should’ve listened to the Google reviews!

Great massage. Didn’t make an appointment and they were able to take us as a walk in. Very affordable prices. I’d suggest bringing cash instead of paying with card to avoid any additional fees. Don’t be cheap and make sure you tip!!
