Shibuyala (Arcadia Mall)

So sad to write this review because usually I love this store, however today I had an awful experience with some of the employees. There was a tall pink hair girl that kept following my friend and I, we circled the entire store and somehow she was the employee that was always on us. We were also followed by another girl with what seems like brown? yellow? orange? hair. These two colorful heads followed us around the whole store, the yellow/brown haired one was straight up staring us down. We are POC so yes, it did feel targeted. I find this experience really unfortunate because I am a loyal customer, I even had enough points to get a free item today but I just wasn’t in the mood due to that unfortunate experience. I am so grateful for this place! I went back to Japan recently and was bummed I wouldn’t be able to get some of the skincare I got in Japan. This place sells most of the skincare/makeup that they sell at don quijote! I hope they one day sell the vitamin C drink and Pocari Sweat 👀

I bought a Biore UV sunscreen and it's already expired. I also checked thru app for expiry date, poor result. too late to return coz I was told all sales are final no return no exchange. I'm not buying there again...So, for those japan beauty addicts, pls check expiry date before buying.

Shibuyala at Santa Anita is super spacious and has so many cute products/items from Japan. You can buy snacks, makeup, insert coins in the many gachapon machines, and more. The prices are somewhat reasonable with the products. Plenty of store associates work to accommodate the line. It's a brightly lit business.

Shibuyala is the best when it comes to Japanese cosmetics/food/products in general. I've been to their locations in Irvine and Rowland Heights and I swear their buyer/item selection team is IMMACULATE. They always have the best items and their prices are so reasonable too! As someone that's part Japanese and uses a bunch of Japanese products daily, shibuyala is a blessing. My jaw was on the floor when I found out that they sell Curel and Fancl brand items. Not to mention, this location has a bunch of Sanrio items!! I do wish that they'd sell hair spray (for my bangs lol) but I'm guessing those are hard to import. Anyways, shibuyala is the best and I can spend hours and hours in here.
