Sheik African Braids

Was told when I went in that there would be 2 people doing my hair. While sitting in the chair getting my hair done that there would only be 1 person. Was told it would be 5 hours. I arrived at 230pm for my appointment but didn't get in the chair until 330. It took from 330pm till 1am. Told her that I wanted my hair shoulder length. I was so exhausted by 1am I didn't look at my hair till I got home. It was all the way to my but in some areas. She didn't trim loose hair like they did everyone else. I went in for a consultation showing her my hair. I was quoted 180.00. While she was doing my hair, I was told it would be 210. I questioned this, and she said it was because they had to put in more braids to make it fuller. I used the bathroom and there was no paper in it. I informed he

Very nice women...very patient and kind. My braids were nice until they started falling out. They charged so much for braids that did not even last. When I came the first time, the stylist was late. When I came the second to get my perimeter done, the stylist never came. I never dealt with this issue before and I will never come back again.

I had my hair done there today paid a 180 for Service the lady who started my hair did a good job she stop working on my head to braid a man's head another lady came over and did my hair in back it was horrible all my microbraids are falling out She did not secure braid in my head they started unraveling one by one. The front braids are secure you can feel the knot which keeps them from unraveling. Most of the ones in back have no knot so when you run fingers through hair they come out I do not recommend this shop. They will try and not know how to do the job Just to get your money I counted the braids that didn't have knots there are more than 30. It was the owner who did such a poor job to my hair.

I do not leave reviews typically, but I drove past this place and decided to stop in. They had availability and decided to set an appointment. I completely recommend this place especially for anyone that has natural hair and cares about keeping their hair on their head. I notice many braid shops rip though your hair and I have experienced tearing through my hair. I take time and care working with and growing my hair...so why would I want someone to rip it out of my head. They are gentle, they work really fast, and they work with your natural hair rather than trying to conform it to that of a relaxed texture. Some braid shops want to blow dry your hair before braiding. Here they do as well but rather than causing heat damage to your hair before braiding they place it on a lower setti

Don't waste your money and time going here. The braider is very rude and unprofessional. I had an appointment with this braider and she didn't seem to care about showing up on time. If you're going to pay for a service, you should expect quality customer service. In this case it was zero. She just lost a potential client.
