I have had such an amazing experience with Alexandera and her services. My first appointment with her was to get my hair dyed red which was on December 1st and let’s just say that the color has survived the test of time (and showers) and is still red - as of February 29th. She made me feel very comfortable and as it’s a 1 on 1 salon I think it’s very important that you feel safe and welcomed which she delivered 100%. She was great company and I enjoyed the conversation we had. My 2nd appointment with her was just as amazing and I got a mullet Mohawk which just shows how talented (pun intended) she is. Alex used to work at The Shop in Berkeley and was the only one there who could properly cut my hair. Everyone else messed up my cowlick. When she opened up her own studio, Shear Talent, I followed her there. She consistently gives great haircuts, is reasonably priced, and is always running on-time (unlike most salons).

UPDATE Alex is revamping her website. Call or text her to make an appointment. Outstanding hair goddess! Alex does a terrific job with my hard-to-cut hair. Her rates are amazing. And as noted on her website it's a real no-judgement zone. I am so glad I found her.

I had such a great experience for my haircut! Alexandra was absolutely so sweet and she took her time cutting my hair. You could really see the effort! I showed her inspo pics and she did even better than what I showed her! I will definitely be coming back here

Such a cute little space! I absolutely adore Alex! She’s so thorough with her consultation before she starts the service. I’m very picky about my red hair and she just nailed it. I get all over color and a cut, and my hair is down to my waist. She takes her time and is transparent with what she is doing. I feel like the prices are affordable for just about any budget. She’s honest and a confident stylist. I love my hair so much!
