Shear Power

I moved here from London in 2005, where I always had my hair cut by Sassoon. Had a terrible time finding someone in Charlottesville could give my very curly hair the careful shaping it needed. Then someone told me about Lois at Shear Power. She does a truly wonderful job -- even better than Sassoon in London! It looks great right after it's cut, and also it grows out well so it still looks good six weeks later.

I should have read these reviews before I went...Lois does what she want with your hair...I specifically told her I did not want permanit color..No harsh chemicals...only a gradual washout..I had and still have a definite line of gray growth..even after her foil treatment..the smell of amonia was overwhelming after. This unwanted process took 3 hours..and cost 150.00. And she wanted another 100.00 to apply another product...I should have listened to my gut feelings and left...I asked several times about the cost and was not given a price until she had started the foil process..price depended on how many foils that were needed...and she finally gave me the cost of 150.00... Lois did not listen to the costomer...me.... and did exactly what she wanted. Beware if you do decide to go here... T

We took our granddaughters, here for their very first haircut, as they desired! The ladies, there were so nice,considerate,sweet,very patient! The girls an us. loved it♡♡♡♡

Professional and friendly It feels like family. Eyebrows by Cora are a must ! Best coloring and cut I've had in forever. I'm a regular now!
