ALWAYS a good experience and haircut here! I was told to come here by a few people and they did not lead me astray! From the moment you enter there are smiles and great attitudes. The whole atmosphere is refreshing and did i mention the work they do is fantastic every time?! Absolutely wonderful 💯! Also, they have great senses of humor so that’s a plus!

If you want to have the best hair cut and get so much compliments about your hair cut , just go to shear instinct and you will be so happy. Their customer service is amazing.All the employees are super nice. I had a hair cut ( Sami Nichole) did it she is amazing, I just show her a picture of what I want and she made it exactly the same and even better as the picture of the hair cut.And the other best thing about this salon, is that they are accurate with the timing you don’t wait , they start whenever you go specially when you are on time to your appointment

Best Salon on Long Island! Between the beautiful decor, high quality products available for clients to the fabulous and affordable services offered ~ Shear Instincts is the place for you. I have been a loyal client since I was a child and plan on continuing to be forever. The staff is just amazing and they go above & beyond to make sure all clients are well taken care of and feel/look their best. Makes sense that they’ve been in business for 40 years now! It’s rare I write something negative on Google as you can see from my posts. But I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this hair salon. I went in for highlights, but instead, I left with a disaster on my head. The highlights turned out to be different colors, resulting in a hideous orange hue. Despite attempts to fix it with toner, my hair ended up an awful red and then closer to black, which was not the look I wanted at all.The owner's response was incredibly unprofessional. Instead of taking responsibility for the botched job, she told me it was something I had to "deal with" and suggested I come back in three weeks for further lightening. She said it was because of my dark hair and recently touched up roots. To add insult to injury, I was also charged for two toners that did
