Sharp Barbershop

Beard cleanup and line-up looked sharp and clean. However, after using the electric shaver the portly female barber refused to do the standard straight-razor/wet-shave finish, stating she already used an electric shaver. When I asked if the second (idle) barber could quickly finish with a razor, I was told I’d be charged for two separate shaves because “two people touched me.” A quick razor pass after clippers is normal at almost every full-service barbershop I’ve been to, being charged double for 30 seconds of another barber’s time felt excessive. I was a walk-in, in the middle of the day, with no wait, but manage expectations — this shop appears to treat a routine razor cleanup as an up-charge or not offered at all.

I have been getting my haircut at Sharp Barbershop on Osuna by Tom for a few years now, with the most recent a few days ago. I have always received a good cut (wife always likes it) and excellent conversation. Tom is always welcoming and pleasant, as are the other barbers in the shop. It is nice to have a place to go that offers consistent cuts and a nice atmosphere.

My original review was taken down somehow, so, here we go again! DO NOT LET CANDY TOUCH YOUR HAIR. Even after you show her a picture, of yourself, and the haircut you want, she'll just shave your hair off. Not with clippers, with shears. And she does it with your back to the mirror so you can't see what she's doing. She barely speaks one word to you, other than to ask what kind of haircut you'd like, only to completely ignore the request I guess. I also felt very shooed off by the owner when I went in. First time being there and he told me to wait for Candy to come in as he had a client scheduled for a 9:00 a.m. cut. It was 8:30 at the point and, even if he couldn't have been the one to cut my hair, he could've taken a few minutes to listen to what I was trying to achieve and place me in

Polite enough but disappointed both times I went. Hair always seems to look good enough when you leave but, you get home to find out it’s just not a good haircut. The cut was uneven both times; the second time worse than the first. I asked for one cut and got other than. I guess that’s my fault for not overseeing the work. Won’t be returning. Can get better at a Great Clips.

Inflexible. I tried 3 of the barbers. I gave specific instructions for light trim, tapered half way up the sides. Instead, each time the cut was way too short with no taper.
