Serenity Garden Massage & Tans

This was my first appointment at Serenity. I’d been visiting the area for the month prior and needed some massage therapy. The prices were very reasonable and her availability worked with mine. I didn’t know much else beyond that, but what I found was a (not so hidden) gem. Dani was great with communication. The location was easy to find (I used a navigation app, but it was pretty straightforward anyway). As this is a residential setting and in a wooded area, there was a discreet business sign marking the entrance to the driveway. I found the home setting and ambiance quite serene, a welcome exchange to any traffic or trying to find parking downtown. I can’t say enough good things about Dani. She is an experienced and skilled massage therapist with integrity and tons of expertise. My wife and I came to get massages from her during our honeymoon in part because I’ve been experiencing muscle pain and soreness in my upper back, shoulders, and neck. Dani did a lot of work on my shoulders and I was quite sore the next day. Since I don’t get many massages I’d never had this experience before, and I was really scared — not ideal to be too sore to move during a hiking-heavy honeymoon! Even though she was in the middle of a terrible family emergency, Dani took my call and walked me through the best stretches and natural remedies to help your muscles recover from an intensive massage. Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience I called on Monday to schedule an appointment after seeing that the online calendar showed no availability. However, the calendar hadn’t been updated, and I was able to book an appointment for yesterday at 3 PM. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but relaxing. When I arrived at the listed address, I found a house with no signage indicating it was a spa or massage place. There was trash scattered everywhere, packages piled on the porch, and dogs barking both inside and outside the house in a fenced area. I honestly thought I was at the wrong house, but after checking two map services, I confirmed that I was indeed at Serenity Garden Massage. Dani is one of the most amazing massage therapists I’ve ever had! She is so strong and knows just how to work out the knots and I leave feeling so much better after seeing her. I have been a repeat customer for many many years and I highly recommend her.

I just got an amazing massage from Dani at her home office. Beautiful, peaceful setting in the middle of the woods. Worth the short drive out of Bar Harbor! She is a very talented masseuse, got my knots and tension out without it being painful, which is no small feat. Overall a wonderful experience! 10/10 P.s. Her dogs are adorable 😊
