SEPHORA

This morning, while on a business trip, I left my hotel and walked over to the nearby Sephora. I was genuinely excited to see one so close by, especially since I shop at various Sephora locations several times a year. Walking into a nearly empty store with at least eight employees, I initially felt like I had hit the jackpot. That feeling quickly changed when I asked for help. I’ve worn the same makeup line, ILIA, for many years and was excited to try the many new products they recently released. Today I had an awesome experience with a beautiful and she was BEYOND helpful . She went out of her way to make sure I got what I needed and it wasn’t too costly . She was super snazzy and I loved her personality very light person ( red nails and stars on it ) I came in a few days before this to ask what I needed for my eyebrows and they were so rude ! It was a Hispanic girl. Basically left. Me for dead!

I picked up a Doordash earlier today from this location & was given an EXTREMELY hard time from one of the supposed " managers " . She was claiming that I needed to either show her a barcode for them to scan on their end , or my ID , in order for them to confirm the pick - up .. which simply was not true . I always pick up from the Ala Moana location , & this has never been the process , so I was a little confused . Usually for these kinds of orders , I let them know I'm picking up for Doordash , give them the customer's name , & they hand me the order . Doordash then prompts US ( the delivery drivers ) to scan a barcode , which is usually stapled to the order bag . But , there is no barcode that pops up for THEM to scan on OUR phone . I showed her the app which showed the customer's name

My partner wanted me to review this store as was too good not too. A huge store in the heart of Waikiki. All the staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable . The selection was quite impressive and prices that were very attractive. If you love your make up then this is your store.

I thought I stopped reviewing places not really worth a review, but need to point out the poor profiling. The first time I visited with my mom was fine, but the second time, I knew I was being profiled (having worked in retail) the lady at the front definitely spoke in her earpiece in code because for the few minutes I tolerated being in there with my mom a couple of the employees stayed close to each of us. Just because customers have a backpack and a huge shopping bag does not always mean= shoplifter. I’m a Rouge Insider so I’ve spent a lot of hard earned money in the past couple of years. Be better at figuring out real shoplifters. 2 stars for obviously having more than the Kohl’s Sephora I sometimes go to. This is one of the reasons I stop going into nice places and shop online.
