Sephora

Not a huge fan of Sephora, but I have a teenage daughter so there I find myself. We were looking for a brand that was out of stock when Sofi helped us to cross reference another brand that turned out to be better than the one we were looking for. Her knowledge and experience streamlined our whole process, even upselling us on another product to complement the first. Often, sales feel forced, however Sofi made me feel good about the purchase and provided value throughout. She is a wonderful person and a rare type of employee.

Lady who works there was rude about using the big mirrors, they have like 6 big mirrors on the corner that apparently you can’t look yourself at (and weren’t even at use). If I’m choosing the right color of a foundation that costs 65 dls I’m making sure it is EXACTLY the right one for me, and sometimes in the tiny round mirrors they have around the store are not enough and the rectangular ones are too far up. I left the store immediately and headed to Ulta where they were nicer and let me use the big mirrors to compare the foundation colors.

Lydia at Sephora is an Angel! She is absolutely so knowledgeable, I had purchased an entire skincare line from Ulta, and was having a horrid reaction on my skin. But I thought it was a “process” when in fact it was breaking down my skin barrier. I am also prone to eczema, but didn’t think anything of it because I normally do not get eczema on my face. I went up to her, and she examined my face and literally was an angel and helped me pick out a whole different skin care routine. She provided samples first to make sure they helped and when I got home, I used the samples she provided and immediately saw a difference in my skin. When I went back to Ulta to return the skin care and explain how bad the reaction on my skin was, they acted like they couldn’t care less. They didn’t even recommend

Hopefully the next time you come to Sephora Lydia is there to help. I didn't think I'd be interacting with any store employee as other beauty stores are so unwelcoming. This was the 1st time I felt welcomed and acknowledged. Seconds after arriving Lydia made herself available, her personality/demeanor made me feel comfortable asking her for help and she made it so easy to find what I was looking for. She helped me match my foundation and find the perfect lip shade, although it wasn't in stock, she went to go check if there were any more in the back and luckily was able to find it. She offered me my birthday gift without me having to ask or pretend that they don't have anymore. Overall it was the best experience I've had at a beauty store.

Bought two gift cards along with other items. The cashier moved the items from one bag into another. When we got home, there was only one gift card in the bag. I went back in to see if they had found it. The manager made me stand in the store for an hour while they “watched the security footage.” The woman who checked us out remembered us and admitted that she may not have moved the gift card to the second bag. Yet, they refused to do anything about it. So, we are out $50 due to their mistake. Disappointing customer service on many levels.
