Sandy & Day Spa

Was passing through Sandy. Had a sore shoulder. Walked in and the lady said to come back in 30 minutes. Came back in 30 after browsing in the nearby Harbor Freight, and that's when the bait and switch happened. She said she needed to charge tax and demanded a $50 tip for an hour massage. She had not done any work yet and made such a demand! Not even the best in Beverly Hills demand a tip like that. Walked away and will avoid. Suggest you do the same. Very shady and possibly discriminatory.

Like the other reviews said, they demand a $50 tip before you start. During the massage, the lady kept stopping to text on her phone, then later she talked loudly on her phone for about 15 minutes straight. The hour massage ended early at only 35 minutes, but she insisted it had been an hour. They are so dishonest and rude!

Stopped in as a walk in, sign said open walked in asked for a foot massage, said they don’t do feet. Asked for a 30min neck and shoulder they said it would be the posted price of $50 plus $20 tip min to pay them because the $50 is for “the boss” . Very rude.

I called ahead to book a massage. I had my massage scheduled for 2 PM it was a 90 minute massage. When I arrived, I was asked if my massage was for 60 minutes, I replied that I scheduled a 90 minute massage for 2 PM. I was then told the 90 minute massage would be $95 plus an additional $50 for “tips” I asked if the tip was mandatory, and was told that yes the tip is mandatory. I told the lady behind the front desk that that was not explained over the phone, and said that if they wanted $145 for 90 minute massage they should just state that from the beginning. Left to find a different place. Can’t say anything at the quality of service but people should know what they’re getting into before going.

One of the worst massages I’ve ever had. The masseuse was the only working so anytime anyone called, walked in the spa or even called, she had to stop. What’s worse is she didn’t even extend the massage time. The massage itself was okay. Not great. But with all the interruptions it got really frustrating. That and the fact that she required a $50 tip, no exceptions, it felt like a very over priced experience. Never going back.
