Maria is AMAZING! For any men with long hair looking for a salon that can sort you out, this could be it Was a bit nervous trying out a new salon for the first time.. that too, being a guy with long hair.. going somewhere usually frequented by mostly women Maria heard me out, worked with me to brainstorm ideas for what we could do.. and then did her magic. Very very happy with the end result!

Kris, the owner, is the best hair person I’ve ever had. I have extremely fine hair and Kris somehow makes it looks great, and the cuts last. She’s an expert with color. I’ve referred several people to her and they’ve all been very happy!

This was my second time going to Salon on Barrington. My hair stylist, Liz, is AWESOME. She really takes her time with my hair, and she's amazing with consultation and using her expertise to make sure I get a cut that works for my hair type and face shape. (As someone with curly hair and a pixie cut, it is really easy to find stylists who don't know what they're doing.) This most recent time, I took the plunge and did a full bleach and dye. She totally nailed it. I also met the owner, Kris, who is an absolute delight. I spent 4 hours there and thoroughly enjoyed it. HIGHLY recommended! Bonus: they have wine and beer.

I've been going to Salon on Barrington for about 5 years and highly recommend owner Kris and stylist Liz who are truly great at hair! I'm not...so I desperately needed people to help me that can. And they DO IT RIGHT! Very affordable, convenient and most importantly, experienced professionals. There aren't many places I highly recommend, but this is one for sure.

I had an appointment with stylist Sandra. I've seen her before for almost the same look. So everything was going pretty well until two more of her clients came in. That's when I noticed a change in movement and behavior. She sat me down for my haircut and then changed her mind, told me to wait so she could start with her other clients. All I needed done was the haircut she suggested and a blow dry. So one minute later, she came back to me and said, "I'll finish you up." She started to cut my hair, and I'm not sure what method she used, but I can tell it was not good and very rushed through. Then she begins to blow dry my hair and then stops halfway. She said I didn't cut enough. At this point, my hair is still wet and then tells me I should come back later so she can finish. To top it off,
