I was looking for someone that could give me a perm. I had already left one salon because I continued to be disappointed with my perms and then my next stylist moved away. I had a hard time finding a salon that clearly advertised that they could do perms and that had reasonable prices. At first glance, this salon might deter certain clients. It is connected to a senior living center and that’s where it seems most the patrons come from. BUT LET ME TELL YOU: Jennifer can perm! She was methodical, meticulous and quick. I guess that makes sense since the wiser population led the way with perms. I was throughly impressed. Jennifer is by far the most capable stylist with a perm that I’ve experienced. My hair may be a bit imperfect in the photo, but it was post wash and sleeping on it overnight

I had been looking all over to find someone who could try a non-traditional perm style on my hair. After being disappointed by several places that said they wouldn't attempt it, after a consult with Jennifer at Salon Nyla she said she'd give it a try. Her years of experience with perms helped me understand the process (I've never had a perm before) and why I may not be able to get exactly to what I wanted. I came to Salon Nyla for a perm and Jennifer was amazing! Jennifer took the time to talk me through the type of curls I wanted and explained the whole process so I knew exactly what to expect. If you’re looking for a place that gives great perms, look no further! I love perms, and this is my fifth time getting one. I always make sure to read reviews and look at photos before booking an appointment, so if you’re doing the same, I hope this review helps! For context, I’ve had a few perms in the past that didn’t turn out great. Sometimes the curls were too loose, some strands stayed straight, or the curls fell out within hours after the perm. These experiences made me anxious about trying a new place. Then I met Jennifer! She’s the sweetest, kindest hairdresser you’ll ever meet. During our appointment, I felt truly listened to. I had such an amazing experience with Jen at Salon Nyla. She gave me one of the best perms I’ve ever had, bouncy, defined, and exactly the curl pattern I wanted. She took time to understand my hair, walked me through the whole process, and made sure I felt comfortable and cared for the entire appointment. Jen is incredibly skilled, detail-oriented, and genuinely fun to work with. My curls look natural, healthy, and full of life. I’ve gotten so many compliments already!
