I have never been disappointed with any of the wonderful services I have received at Salon Expert. They use the highest quality products and always greet you with a smile. My hairdresser, Helen, is such a pro and takes the time to explain the various processes I may be receiving at each visit. Everyone there is so accommodating and friendly. The shop is roomy and comfortable with a sleek, yet warm new look. Each visit is like going home. Mary B

Amazing staff. Couldn't be nicer. Especially Alexis. She really knows the science behind hair coloring and keeps up to date on cutting techniques. I have had my wedding makeup done there as well and they did such a wonderful job. People always ask me where I had it done. I highly recommend them for normal cutting, makeup or occasion hair. :D

I should have trusted my gut and left at the not so friendly introduction right when I told her what I wanted done and she said she wouldn’t do what I was asking for (lighten my already blonde ends) she then only lightened my like bangs. I told her very specifically I wanted a light bubblegum pink color and that I know your hair must be very light blonde to get that shade of pink and I really hate that fuchsia/dark pink color and I do not want that color at all. I felt like I did a lot of unnecessary waiting around and then she proceeded to put on the very color I told her I did not want. When it was all washed and blown out I have about 10 different shades of pink and fuchsia and rose gold in my hair just none of which I wanted. I have been going to Salon Expert since it’s inception. Their staff is amazing!! All are very knowledgeable and continue to stay up on the latest trends, techniques and cuts! The salon was just completely remodeled this past April and I can’t express how much I love the new set up. As someone who no longer lives on Long Island I come home just to get my hair done. While getting my hair done I am multi tasked working on five millions things at the same time. The new set up allows me seamlessly work while getting my hair done. This is an NYC salon on the island can’t love it enough!!

All of the staff is warm, friendly and professional from the receptionist to my stylist and everyone in between. I get a cut and a color and am happy with both (and I’m picky). My stylists is Alexis... however they all seem good. They take their time and I do not feel rushed.
