I came in asking for a soft, cool ash brown that would blend naturally with my dark hair, but my stylist Monique insisted that bleach and foils were the only way to lighten my virgin black hair. When I couldn’t afford that, she suggested a partial balayage instead and it came out patchy, brassy, and far too warm for my skin tone. The highlights clashed harshly with my black base and looked nothing like what I wanted. She stated that the cool ash brown I originally wanted was a “fad” color that would need constant upkeep. I ended up paying another stylist in NYC (for less money) to fix it with an all-over high-lift ash brown, no bleach needed. After a 2 year hiatus of getting lashes done I found Linda at Salon di’Lor- and I’m so glad I did. She was peaceful, efficient and meticulous! I felt so happy w my lashes and felt really pretty for the first time in awhile’! I can’t wait to go back.

I had an appt for 9:30 I was running 10 min late I called the salon to let them know I was on my way- no answer. I had made an appt with Linda 5 days prior to my appt date- they call me the morning of at 9:45 saying in a voicemail how I can’t use my Groupon & how I would have to pay for 3 other services out of pocket because they do not offer the Groupon.. but they knew about the Groupon for 5 days & said NOTHING. so why is it active on Groupon & available for purchase if I can’t use it? Sketchy as all hell! This place has good reviews but what they did to me was extremely unprofessional. When I made the appt 5 days ago that’s when they should have said I couldn’t use the Groupon- not the day of when I’m almost at the salon. My stylist Lori is brilliant! She is so talented and kind. The salon is very calm and soothing, They just started offering FREE hand massage while you get your color processed. They use sanitizer and hand cream that smell great! And it is wonderful feeling. I highly recommend this salon.
