Ryan Carter Massage & Bodywork

After driving in, I was delighted to get a same day appointment. Ryan offers a totally different type of massage than I have ever had. If you are expecting traditional Swedish massage, this is not it. But If you want real pain relief, you MUST come here. At first I was confused by the method honestly because it was so different from the norm, but when I walked out I felt like I was walking on a cloud, my shoulder and neck tension had vanished. He truly does a unique combination of bodywork that clearly comes from a deep care for the individuals he provides for. Cannot recommend enough!

I tried a massage with Ryan Carter for the first time and ended up speechless! This wasn’t a standard massage - it was intuitive, integrative, and personalized. Every limb and muscle was treated with purpose. He worked on my lymphatic system, digestive system, entire back, arms, and legs, using a perfect mix of gentle, firm, and intense pressure. I added deep yogic breaths with every stretch and release (which I highly recommend) to amplify relaxation. I walked out not only relaxed, but with better circulation, flexibility, lymphatic flow, and a noticeably lighter emotional state. As someone who works in childcare, my back finally feels normal again. It honestly felt like trauma release. Not a typical massage or massage therapist by any means . Relaxing , Swedish massages with all the music and cucumber water and shit are great and fun and all , this guy is the total opposite of that, straight to the business working on healing , aligning , and fixing your body . Serious healing work gets done here . Body felt completely different in a very good way than after or during any massage I’ve ever had. Ryan Carter is the man.

Hands-down the best massage I’ve ever had. Ryan is amazing and is incredibly intuitive. I have terrible hip pain and I carry a lot of tension in my shoulders. Ryan asked me if I wanted a full body massage or a massage focused on my pain points. I chose the latter and I feel pain relief and tension release like I haven’t experienced in years. Be advised: this is not a soft, relaxing Swedish massage. Ryan’s massages are intense and powerful and he is very strong. Give into it, you’ll be glad you did.

On vacation, I came into Ryan’s studio in bad shape. I was recovering from 5 weeks of a respiratory illness and my body felt mangled. Ryan was amazing. I think we exchanged a few words about my pain before he dove in and intuitively found all the “stuck” points. I spent two hours with him and have never left any massage feeling as amazing as I did leaving Ryan’s office. I had some residual issues and called him back for an additional 2 hours a couple days later. I felt like a new person after he finished. His style is very untraditional but so effective. I will drive the 90 miles to see him again. I’ve never been so impressed with someones ability to heal. You won’t be disappointed. He has a true gift.
