This business is only good for blowouts. Do not go here for any other service! I asked for sewn-in tracks and purchased a hair bundle directly from the salon. I was dissatisfied throughout the entire service. Every time I expressed my concern, I was told I needed to allow them time to complete the style, and it would look as expected. It never did. When I finally asked if they could take the tracks down, I was told I would still have to pay for the entire service. It did not matter that I had been repeatedly expressing my dissatisfaction; I was simply told, "It was just business." It’s been a long time since my scalp has been scrubbed so thoroughly, and let me tell you—my hair and scalp feel so clean. I may not remember all the names, but I can say this: Ruth's Dominican Salon in Mableton is the first Dominican salon that truly made me feel they cared about the health of my hair. I don’t go often, but when I do, I want this type of experience. The ladies were professional, gentle, and clearly knew what they were doing. The woman who roller-set my hair was so delicate—I had to ask myself why my own sets hurt, but hers didn’t. From start to finish, everyone, even the checkout staff, was amazing. This is my go to place for a silk press. I absolutely love that they take walkins and even work on Sundays. I have a busy schedule and walkin is perfect for me. It was my first visit today and I absolutely love how she did my hair and the way it felt. I will definitely be a return client. Thanks again! ❤️

I visited the salon on Sunday for a full straighten and paid $84 up front (plus tip), expecting a sleek, long‑lasting finish. Unfortunately, by Monday my hair was back to its natural frizz—clearly the stylist only ran a blow dryer through without properly flat‑ironing my hair. It felt rushed, and I left disappointed. What’s most upsetting is that the service I received didn’t match the level of care I’ve seen others (particularly clients with different hair textures) enjoy. My hair wasn’t treated with the same attention or technique, and the result fell far below what I paid for. I went randomly (first time) to get some layers and needless to say, Ruth did amazing shaping and giving life to my hair! I felt like I needed some volume and she did not disappoint. She even styled it! I feel like the picture doesn’t do justice because I completely love how cute it frames me!
