Absolutely amazing experience!!! I am traveling from out of town and was long overdue for a haircut. Jamie was so kind and knowledgeable and experienced and gave me a fantastic haircut. The salon experience was luxurious and relaxing. The shampoo room was my favorite part- they create a unique atmosphere with lighting, sound, aroma therapy and a scalp massage that was transformative. I’m considering flying back to Austin next time I need a haircut. And if you are driving on W Cesar Chavez to get there, add like 15 minutes to the predicted drive time, I ended up hoping out of my Lyft and walking because it was faster.

The salon is beautiful and I love the separate shampoo area, it is very relaxing from the busy salon side. I have gotten blowouts here from Zeke in the past and they have always lasted longer than I care to admit. I had my first haircut with him last week and love everything about it. We did a thorough consultation and he did a beautiful job listening to my concerns and giving me the exact cut I desired. Pam helped me with booking and was a pleasure to speak with as well. I can tell the entire staff operates as a team, which is helpful in the flow of your appointment. There was always staff cleaning/sweeping, holding the door open for me, and genuinely giving a great experience. I can tell they love what they do. WOW!! Safe to say I found a salon that I will be coming back to. Ty gave me a tour given it was my first time there and it is a nice spacious layout and is very clean. The hand massage during the styling was *chef’s kiss*. If you are looking to be in great hands definitely come to Ruiz Salon.

I booked the “Haircut – Luxury Experience” for my first visit and showed Ruby Perez three reference photos. I clearly requested a slanted, vertical side cut with the front length touching my chin, and suggested trimming only about 1 cm. What I left with was a nightmare—my hair chopped drastically short, front above my jawline, sides straight, and nothing like the photos. When I pointed this out, she casually said it would “look like the pictures in 8 weeks.” I was shocked and humiliated. During the haircut, she even told me twice not to cross my legs—something I’ve never experienced at any salon. Asking to switch stylists came with an extra charge, and she defended her work by claiming that my request for back graduation justified ignoring everything else. I cried in my car on the way ho

I am a particular person and I care a lot about quality, especially when I’m making a “significant” investment in time and $. Judy delivers the best haircut I’ve had, in my life. I have a bob, just above shoulder length and I have naturally curly hair that I wear both curly and straight. To get this flexible enough to look good both ways, with beautiful lines when straight, is a fete in itself. She’s incredible.
