My favorite hair salon! I have been going here for about a year now getting haircuts from Takeo & Manson & have also done body work and sound healing with Maiko. First off, everyone is so kind & welcoming. The energy in the salon is relaxing, with a beautiful organic artsy aesthetic. They use a unique water system that takes getting your hair washed to another level! They also use all natural shampoo, conditioner, and hair products which I love & now use at home. The first time I went here, I got a Reiki haircut with Takeo and was in straight bliss! His hands are magical & his relaxing energy makes a haircut a spa day, leaving with a beautiful cut. Manson has also cut my hair a few times, specifically for bang trims or cuts & I appreciate his attention to detail and ensuring that I like

I have been coming here since Roomate open its door. Both the haircut and massage are amazing. Highly recommended. Haircut with Manson is amazing. His skilled in making sure the haircut is stylish and what you want! Massage with Maiko is transforming. She understands exactly where to put pressure and listens to your feedback on where on your body needed more work. I walked out like a new human.

I absolutely love coming to Roommate Salon and getting my hair done by Manson. Before I found this place, I was only getting my hair done in NY with my previous stylist. Manson is so patient, talented, and thoughtful. I have gone to him for multiple types of services. I used to have very long hair and was growing out my balayage and Japanese straightening perm. He has straightened my hair multiple times. He gave me a long lob and spent a lot of time coming up with a length and style with me. I was initially very nervous because I had long hair for more than a decade! I was extremely happy with the results. Now, my hair is growing out and Manson styled it so that I don't have that "awkward middle stage". I also decided to finally get highlights to hide my greys and he patiently collaborat

what an incredible experience! i tend to think of downtown as chaotic, but this salon is a peaceful oasis. i left with great hair, feeling relaxed and well taken care of 🩵 i worked with takeo who is fantastic - my hair texture has changed a lot over the past few years, and trying to keep it long and colored hadn’t been working for me. we cut a healthy amount off, and takeo tailored my visit toward healing and moisturizing my hair. because this cut felt like a fresh start, i added on the reiki experience which was a beautiful and calming addition to the cut and color! i can’t wait for my next visit ☺️

I had a great experience with YUYA! The salon was incredibly clean and stylish, and it was easy to find street parking right in front. I arrived a little earlier than my appointment time, but YUYA welcomed me warmly, which I really appreciated. Before starting the haircut, YUYA took the time to carefully check what kind of style I wanted. He also considered my hair texture and current condition before cutting, which made me feel very confident in his skills. During and after the cut, he kindly explained how to style my hair to keep it looking great. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience — I’ll definitely be coming back!
