Rising Sun Massage

I've been seeing Penny for regular massages for about three years now and can't recommend her enough. If the rush of "commercial" style spas and health centers aren't your thing and you're looking for a place to really relax, Rising Sun is the best - right next door to a beautiful park as well. Penny treats people as "whole" people - I always feel better mentally, physically and spiritually after I visit her!

I have been seeing Penny for my problem neck for a few years now. Well, I say problem neck, but really, since I started seeing her regularly, it hasn’t been much of a problem anymore. However, she does remember my problem areas every time I come in, and she knows just how to work on them so that they’ll calm down. She is the first therapist that has been able to zero in on the issues and knows how to soothe them. Every time I have an appointment with Penny I get so excited to just be with her in her studio. It is so comforting, calming, relaxing, and clean. At first I thought it would be weird to get massaged in someone’s house, but now I actually prefer it to stuffy, pretentious studios. Penny is so wonderful! I was in from out of town for a conference and a chronic shoulder injury got agitated by the flight in. Fortunately, she was able to squeeze me into her schedule! I'm a little bit of a difficult person to work on because I have a number of chronic pain issues and health conditions, but she did a great job making sure she was informed about any issues that might arise. She was wonderfully welcoming and put me at ease immediately! She's extremely skilled, and I would recommend her to anyone in the area!

Penny is amazing. She was kind to give me an appointment at the last minute. I had moderate back and shoulder pain and she helped me relieve much of that tension. She is also very personable and professional. I highly recommend her!
