Renaissance Curls

Since I will not be coming back at this point I might as well give a honest review, I had been coming to Weena since about 2019 and she always has been a great stylist and brought my hair to life over the years. It is sad to say it became almost impossible to book appointments with her and it was as if because I could not make one appointment and had to be adamant with the person that does her scheduling that I could not make it, the process became even more difficult with excuses such as “she will not be taking certain services anymore” or “she will not be doing certain services for a few months” eventually I just moved on but I really feel that not only weena but a lot of hairstylist in NYC have no loyalty to their long time clients her prices also changed tremendously over the years a b

Always wonderful. I've been with Weena long before there was a Renaissance Curls and it's been amazing to see her and the business' growth. She has always demonstrated excellent skills in a kind and professional manner and it's wonderful to see new additions to Renaissance Curls team adopt the same manner. Your hair is cared for and you're given recommendations that align with your hair care goals that prove they're not out just to make money. Always highly recommended.

I originally posted a great review. I had to update it since my most recent experience wasn’t ideal. It’s been a month and my scalp still hurts from the yanking. I’ve never had anyone yank my hair like that before. Idk if I’ll come back.

I hadn’t been to a salon since 2019 and made my return with Renaissance. I had asked ahead of time while scheduling if the staff that worked on me would wear a mask while doing my hair. It was important to me because I still mask and when I was taken to a washing bowl a few minutes after arriving, my stylist wore a mask. The other person that styled my hair later also wore a mask. It was such a lovely experience from beginning to end. The staff was kind, offered me a snack and the space was so chill. I got twists and will be back. I recommend this salon to others if it’s their first or 100th salon visit

An incredible salon with a clean, calming atmosphere, professional and kind stylists, and immaculate service. My curls have never looked this good. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to the salon and have every intention of returning.
