I went in this morning to purchase nail supplies, as I regularly do as a nail tech. My usual supplier, Dynamic Nail Supply, was closed, so I had no choice but to shop elsewhere. I asked a female employee with glasses and a bob hairstyle for help finding a specific acrylic powder shade that I consistently use. I showed her a reference photo and relied on the nail swatches she provided. She assured me the shade was #27. I had a client scheduled at 1 PM, so I used the powder. Once I began working with it, I immediately noticed the color was significantly darker than expected. Unfortunately, because my regular store was closed, this was the only base color I had available, so I had no choice but to complete my client’s service.
