1 star — the style looked nice, but the experience was awful. I got my hair done here on 11/16/25 and traveled from out of state because a friend recommended the salon. I wish I hadn’t. When I arrived (early), no one greeted me or even acknowledged my appointment. The salon was messy, with several stylists sitting around while one person was being serviced. I needed a wash because I had gel in my hair, and the braider started combing through my gelled 4C hair dry, which was painful and damaging. She even used a dirty towel from the floor to wipe my hair and neck. During the blow-dry, my hair was aggressively tugged and combed with no conditioner or moisture, causing breakage. Make sure you text rama before you go so you have an appointment set up with the price. The ladies were really nice. Got started right away. I got knot less braids with fulani and my braided did great. Took like 3.5 hours max. The train station also isn't far from the location so I wouldn't drive cause parking sucks.

The salon was filthy. I ask for small to medium braids and got large parts with medium braids that are unraveling not even 24 hours later. My hair was not tucked into the braids so he can see where my hair stops since the ends are sticking out and if I didn’t stop the stylist she would have snipped all my hair. I have full strands of hair that was not braided. Very sloppy work. Would not recommend.

Today, I had an appointment here, and everything was going well until it came time to pay. I booked cornrows just below shoulder length (reference photo below), and the booking site listed the price as $85+ (photo attached). I was aware they advertised a sale—$180 for any length, any style—but since I didn’t book under that sale, I didn’t think it applied to me. Importantly, every style on their booking site is priced differently, which clearly suggests that prices should vary based on the style and length you select. Once my hair was done, I asked the braider for the total, and she told me it was $180. I was surprised, as my cornrows barely went past my shoulders. When I asked why, she referred to the sale price. Worst experience when it came to getting my hair braided. Two ladies did my hair and neither one of them showed any interest in what I requested. I was charged extra for my length which I didn't have any problem paying for mind you only half of the braids are were I wanted them! I requested extra small braids and which I did not get either! they are very inconsistent even the end result was so bad who I believed to be the owner came over and had them try to fix some of the damage that was done. Still this is a mess...... $200.00 for my human hair (wasted) that I paid for and $300.00 for this so call Boho look... Good luck with any risk you take a Rama on 125th Street
