I went into this salon with the hopes of getting layers. I came in with a fresh sewin, bundles long and full. I only asked for layers that frame my face nothing too crazy, I figured that’s something any hairstylist can do. But not only did the stylist cut off a lot of unnecessary inches from the back of my head, they chopped my hair up entirely. When I took a look in the mirror I was shocked and if I didn’t ask her to stop my hair would be chopped beyond repair. Regardless I was still patient about them cutting off so much hair and just asked them if they could at least blend out the layers and make them even on both sides. Well that didn’t work either because everyone looked at me as if I had two heads for asking the stylist to clean up the cut. Advice to the salon…if someone comes in ask

My daughter’s hair came out okay.The ends looked bad. And they charged me more for her hair. My hair was perfect no complaints. However the time it took from start to finish was crazy. There from 1-5pm. Two separate ppl did our hair so idk why. Also I saw a mouse so I won’t be back.

On 05/21/24 I received a haircut, blowout, and highlights from this salon. What I did not expect was the stylist to overprocess my hair. I showed two workers' videos for reference. The videos showed girls with dark hair with a few face-framing brown/caramel highlights. The stylist doing my hair took it upon herself to do a full head of highlights and over processed my hair, lifting it to a very light blonde. It took her a long time to get through my hair and she didn't realize I lifted quickly so she ended up over processing my hair. To achieve the results I wanted, the stylist did not have to lift my hair to such a light color, so I received unnecessary damage to my hair. Very affordable and efficient service. I got my hair washed, blow dried, and straightened at a very affordable price. I also have natural hair and they took good care of it.

Understand that for years I have searched far and wide from Irvington, to Newark, and even Elizabeth for a good salon. This salon is by far one of the best I’ve been to. I don’t go on the typical busy times (weekend mornings). My work schedule is a little different so thankfully I can walk in on a Tuesday afternoon and be one of the only people there before the after school heard rushes in. They’re very polite and nice and are quick with working on your hair. The prices are fair and they don’t play around. Some salons I’ve gone to charge you differently each visit for the same services done. For example, one week I’m being told I have to pay $15 and the next I’m told $18. I don’t argue because it’s not much of a difference to me but be consistent with your prices. It’s closer to home as we
