Queen Maman African Hair Braiding

Horrible Horrible Horrible. I’m so disappointed.I literally left from getting My hair done and it looks old and the parts are crooked. They have the audacity to charge $220 .. I will not be back.. If I knew it looked this bad I would’ve never tipped or I would’ve had her take the braids out..I have curly hair in my head and she tried to make it wavy instead of curling the hair so now the hair is shabby..

My daughter and I came here from out of state thinking we can’t go wrong in Harlem NY the home of quality African braiding… WRONG!!! I should’ve known when the woman asked me to go in the shop across the road leaving my daughter and I couldn’t keep an eye on them. Fast forward 4 hours later… a hot mess with only an apology to offer STFU. We were told to come the next day so the owner could right their wrong, 4 hours later my daughter’s hair was not done because the braider who did her hair yesterday conveniently didn’t come in. I reiterated to the owner 4 times to redo the crown , who acted like she didn’t know what I was talking about. Beyond unprofessional. STAY AWAY. I rated 1 star and is generous.

My daughter and I had a great experience we went August 3rd arrived at 8:45am was seated by 9am and was done by 5pm with 2 breaks in between. The braids lasted my daughter just an about 2 months and she washed about 3/4 times. My daughter loved her braider she nice to her, didn’t pull on her head and was patient. She color matched the hair perfectly too. I would deff recommend this salon to anyone looking for a deal and style.

Horrible experience!!! me and my best friend went to get boho knotless braids. The owner charged me one price of $220 and tried to charge my best friend $260 for the SAME EXACT LENGTH N HAIRSTYLE ! She argued us down about the price.. very unprofessional and the size quality of the braids were uneven. Roaches were crawling everywhere, BEWARE …we should’ve stayed in Brooklyn for all this hassle.

I just got my hair braided at this place today and when I tell u the lack of professionalism that I experienced at that salon today was unbelievable. I spent 5 hours doing my French curls but through the process I was being tossed and turned a number of times. I had one lady start my hair and in the middle of doing that leave without even letting me know. The another person came and was inexperienced. I had a total of 4 different people doing my hair. Not to also mention that the person that handles the bookings try to get more money out of you when you already agreed on a price. If you have other options please consider them because this just wasn’t it. The place is unsanitary as well.
