I booked grey coverage / overall color, a few face-framing highlights, and a haircut. This was not balayage. At no point was I given a price quote or estimate before the service began. I was charged $480, which was a complete surprise. The pricing was not disclosed or explained in advance, and I was not informed how services would be billed before checkout. The service itself did not reflect the time or complexity implied by the charge. A significant portion of the appointment time was spent waiting while the stylist was away mixing color, rather than actively working on my hair. The quality did not justify the cost. Wonderful friendly staff and a feeling that they really care about their clients. You may want to make an appointment for your first visit since the stylists have days on and off. Melanie, the owner is highly accommodating and professional. Her staff receives the latest about styles and techniques. Very fine salon!

CURLY GIRLS: Darlene at Pure Bliss is amazing! This was my first professional curly cut. I was very nervous since I’ve never had this done before. My friend recommended Darlene who is the highest level Deva Curl stylist in Delaware. Darlene immediately addressed my concerns. She asked about me and my routine. She told me exactly what she was going to do and showed me before starting. I felt very comfortable. After cutting half of my hair, she turned me to show me the difference in my new cut and old cut. What a difference! When she washed my hair she showed me each product she used and explained it’s benefit. I am going to give Deva curl products a change again because of her. My hair felt so clean and hydrated at the same time. She really took her time with each curl. Checked EVERY angle

I visited Pure Bliss salon for the first and last time shortly before Christmas. I had a last-minute party invitation and couldn’t get in with my regular stylist at the Aveda salon in Rehoboth, so I figured in an emergency, how bad could another Aveda salon be? I found out: Bad. I asked the stylist at Pure Bliss to blend my roots in with my subtle, thin, medium blond highlights. I warned her that my hair processes quickly. The stylist put the minimal amount of foils in my hair (the entire foil process only took 20 minutes where it should have taken one hour), made big, gross highlights, left me processing too long as she went to eat from the salon’s Christmas potluck, and left me with roots an inch long. We are in the area on vacation and found Pure Bliss online. And what a find!! Natalie is amazing and I enjoyed a wonderful relaxing pedicure. The salon was so comfortable and welcoming. I will definitely return and tell friends and family!!
