This place was awesome. I called ahead, they had an opening in 40minutes. Aaron hooked it up, he listened and understood the vision. I have tried a lot of places in New Paltz/Kingston and this is going to be my new spot from now on. Cut was $40 plus an $8 tip. Very professional but laid back environment. Everyone is super friendly - highly recommend.

The expertise of barbery is unparalleled at this institution, you could see any one of the four gentlemen located in this shop and I guarantee they will give you a beautiful cut. Their attention to detail and passion for their work is a symbol that they have been blessed by Hephaestus as artisans and craftsmen. Within those fine bamboo laden walls stand a picture of mastery and majesty, and head tattoos. 12/10 strongly recommend. Also, they cut hair.

Have been going to Joel for years, never fails to be a good chat and excellent haircut at a fair price. Mike and the crew are always entertaining. Book out a few weeks though! Maybe even a month.

I’ve been coming here and the shop on Main Street for years. Great cuts, attention to detail and shop vibe. Make your appointments well in advance and it’s a cash only joint are my only recommendations.

I’ve had two interactions with this shop. The first was a hair in November 2021, the second was a phone call to the other location in February 2022. Sharing in case you are black and have textured, tight/coily hair and are looking for a barber. I know there are a couple people at both shops who have experience with my type of hair, but it’s not everyone. In November I got a fade and part from a barber here and it legitimately took 3 hours. When he was nearly done he confessed to not being used to working with “black hair” but that he was “learning” and recommended another barber in the future. He made a joke about how he’d given a past client (a black woman) a design and was super nervous about it but she told him not to worry because she works in a restaurant kitchen and not many people
