Not a chain. A local business that provides top tier cuts. A great group of peeps cut and style here. I’ve seen K.C. For years. Not only is he really talented an thorough but genuine and interesting to chat with. I moved 5 states away, 2 years ago. Recently I started driving back up to have my hair cut here again, after getting butchered in my small rural town. Now that I have long hair K.C. Suggested I see Liz. Damn! Talk about precision! Liz is hyper focused, exacting and constantly checking her work for symmetry and balance. I’m usually anxious when I get a cut… but when watched her work - the meticulous cuts and length checks? I relaxed and zoned out. She gave me a great style, something I didn’t know my hair was capable of. Thank you all

First time there, swapping from my usual place. Fantastic place. Great space, friendly team, excellent haircut. Sat in the chair and talked through what I was looking for. I have medium length hair that had grown out quite a bit. And the scissor cut trim is one of the best I’ve had in the city.

I have been a loyal customer of Liz’s for 3 years and followed her from her previous shop because she is so skilled. She is an incredible barber for both men and women’s short cuts. I brought in a photo for inspiration and she was able to figure out exactly what I was looking for and maintains communication throughout the cut and styling so I get exactly what I want. She also masterfully manages my two very uncooperative cowlicks. I constantly get compliments on my hair and am always so happy with how it looks. I can’t recommend her more highly.

Tim at Public Image NYC is my hairstylist at the best new shop in manhattan. I fully trust him with the cuts, I give little to no input and always come out with a perfect styling. His cuts keep getting better. Support his new small business and help keep New York alive!

This is without the very best shop in the the city. The vibe is so relaxed, friendly, warm, personable, you immediately feel very comfortable and know that you are in good hands. Tim has created and curated this environment for his customers. I started going to Tim about a year ago, right after a really bad barber had literally chopped my hair in so many layers that it is hard to describe what it looked like, but trust me it was not good. I found Tim at Public Image and within 7 months he had somehow managed to get my hair back in shape. I know how he managed, he is an expert when it comes to cutting hair. He listens, recommends and most importantly follows through and gives you the exact cut that you had discussed with him. I can't say enough about Tim other than he is just an all
