Price's Barber Shop

I love coming to Price’s barbershop, it truly is a place for the locals. Every time I come in for my appointment with Jeremy, I run into someone I know. A truly old fashioned barbershop right in the heart of downtown and truly a part of our community. Thanks for keeping me looking as good as an old man can.

The best barber shop experience we’ve ever had! Price’s will be our regular barber from here on out!

I stopped into Price’s Barber Shop in Saint Augustine on a lazy Saturday morning, hoping for a simple walk-in haircut. Before I even had a chance to sit down, I was asked if I had an appointment. While I understand that calling ahead might have been the smarter move, the tone of the woman who asked made it feel like I was an outsider and not really welcome as a walk-in. They had two barbers working chairs, so it wasn’t as though the shop was empty or closed off, but the vibe I got was more of “we don’t really want new customers” than “thanks for stopping by, here’s how it works.” They must be doing something right if they can afford to turn away paying customers who are willing to wait, but unfortunately, it left me feeling unwelcome and unlikely to return.

Not at all impressed, sorry to say. I went in and got charged for a Flattop Haircut. Its just a buzz cut. I could have gone to great clips and get the same thing for half the price! So... where is the Value? ***UPDATE*** @Price's Barber Shop Again, sorry. You do NOT get a second chance to make a 1st Impression. Perhaps train your folks to Barber. Me, I am moving on. 5 stars to the haircut skills and the short time the cut took…but BE WARNED….THEY ONLY TAKE CASH! The standard cuts are like $25.00 so just make sure you bring some cash. But the environment was cool, I loved the old school cash register machine!
