Popa Chops / Berkshire Barbers

I brought my 2 yr old in for a proper barber haircut and John was able to squeeze us in even though we didn’t have an appointment. So nice during a busy Saturday morning. (We’ll be making appointments going forward!) My 2yr old was nervous and crying and John and Chaps were such pros with how to make my son more comfortable. They never seemed frustrated or annoyed - in fact they made me feel better as a mom telling me over and over how great he was doing. They were prepared: Cocomelon on the iPad, a balloon, a Spider-Man finger puppet, juice boxes and offered him snacks. They would get everybody clapping (the barbers and customers). Everyone was invested in my son’s successful haircut! 🥰 In the end my son was saying thank you and buh-bye as we were leaving. I’m so happy we found our “spot”

Thank you John for taking my son after school for a haircut! 💇 I’ve always done them but he had a picture of what he wanted and he was excited to see if it could work. John was friendly with both my kids and providing me tips! We will be back :).

Every once in a while I tend to switch up who cuts my hair. I just hadn't found someone that knocked it out of the park. When my oldest suggested a visit here, I booked with Buddy and I gotta say I think I'm a regular now. There aren't many people I can show a picture of a style to for literally 5 seconds and say "something like this but in your style" and he nails it! My youngest son loves to visit as well. Very kid friendly place.

Papa Chops is truly one in a million. He had my toddler captivated the entire time. He has such a warm, calming presence. My son left with a perfect cut and his last words to Papa Chops before heading out were “Thank you, I love you!” Can’t ask for more than that! This is our forever spot, I can’t recommend enough.

Owner is one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met in my life. Provided great service very thought-provoking conversation. Haircut looked great, but was the least valuable thing that came out of the experience.
