Plaza M Spa Tribeca

I have been coming here off and on for a year for gel manicures. No matter who does them it's always absolutely meticulous. The salon is immaculately clean and inviting and the receptionists are polite and competent. I have had a difficult time getting any type of manicure to last (gel, gel x, builder gel - I’ve done it all), but due likely to my own nails, nothing ever lasts for me. I recently went to a different salon for a gel mani and it chipped within 2 days. I am currently on week 3 with a gel mani from Plaza M and it never chipped, flaked, or fell off. Their attention to detail makes a dramatic difference on the longevity of my manicure and I will not go anywhere else in the city for a gel mani. I had a last min pedicure here a few weeks ago. The technician that was helping me was an older lady, she was very friendly. However, My pedicure with her was a joke. She did the absolute bare minimum..it was a quickie job just like at any other Korean joint. I really needed a through buffing of dead skin (not callus removal!!) and proper cuticle care, as it should be. Instead, I got a foot wash with minimal nail / skin care. What she did well was the nail polish - that was perfect. As it's always the case at most of these places...everything for the looks only. It just makes me incredibly sad as I was watching her do her thing, wondering if I should have said something like "can you please do a better job", I know what a proper pedicure should be like. I’ve been coming here for many years. It is hands down one of the most welcoming and visually beautiful spaces. The service is impeccable. As a native and TriBeCa citizen doing my homework my entire life, the sole place I request service from. They have graduated how well the wonderful people of Plaza M takes care of their clients. The service industry runs the world and they run it exquisitely. Forever loyal .

I walked in for a mani/pedi and was immediately accommodated. I found the salon to be very clean and relaxing, and appreciated the technician's meticulous work without feeling rushed at all. Nail prices are typical for a downtown salon. Overall, I'm very happy with how my nails turned out and will be back.

Mani & pedi: Solid place to get your nails done without a worry. The nail technician was meticulous. Massage: Hard pass. Full body massage was extremely painful. I felt like I was tortured! I told the guy less pressure but I wasn’t sure if he understood. I would have appreciated the masseuse telling me what kind of massage he was giving me before he started or asked for my preference or how I was doing. Overall this is a nice place to get your nails done. It’s clean and the receptionist is nice. Pricier than other nail salons but the space is pretty. However, my whole experience felt very transactional. Nothing wrong with that though. But if you’re looking for a relaxing time with an extra touch of customer service where the staff asks you how everything went, if you want tea or water, e
