We ordered the fish plate, which was very good. When we asked our waitress for malt vinegar, she brought back a cup of what tasted like the oil the fish had been cooked in. When my friend went to pay the bill, since her fish had been ruined, she also asked to speak to the manager. In the meantime, the waitress came to the table and retrieved the "stuff" she brought us. My friend was so upset, they did ask if they could replace her fish, but she wanted nothing else. So, while the food was good, the waitress wasn't too too bright. That's why I only gave 4 stars.

Bear E Patch restaurant has great food and service. They have so many choices and specials. Personally, I love breakfast at any time of the day. Once I've taken my visitors there to eat - they always ask to go back!

This place changed their grits, and it's not as good as it used to be. Overall, the food is great. The staff is always cheerful and helpful, which makes up for their shortcomings. The people watching is spectacular, you never know what you're going to see.

Still love the food here, wish prices were better-at least for locals OR how about a "customer loyalty discount card"? $40 (with tip..service is usually great) for two people getting eggs bacon grits for me and A pancake for her is pushing it hard...especially if their busy and have a 45 minute wait...
