Pigtails & Crewcuts: Haircuts for Kids - Summerville, SC

This was our first professional haircut and it couldn’t have gone any smoother. Amber was great and so accommodating to my toddler, he felt comfortable with her cutting his hair. He had toys to play with and he loved the car chairs they cut your hair in.

We brought our toddler in for a haircut and the environment was very stimulating, which is expected for a kids’ salon but makes it hard with curious toddlers and no support from staff to get the job done. I’ve been to multiple other locations of this same chain and have always had wonderful experiences, we’ve never once left without a haircut. Unfortunately, this visit was very different. The stylist did not engage with our child at all. While I was actively trying to get my toddler to choose a car and setting clear boundaries, the stylist stood chatting with another employee and on her cell phone, offering no assistance. We ultimately had to leave without a haircut. For a business geared toward young children, I expected more active engagement and support.

Went for a haircut for my 6yr old and the "cut" took less than 5 minutes. The stylist never combed out her hair or wet it before she just chopped at the bottom. It was very uneven & when I asked her to look at it, she seemed annoyed. she seemed like she didnt want to be there from the beginning. Her hair still looks uneven & butchered. $30 for a very unprofessional experience and crappy job that will need to be fixed elsewhere. *Edited* Amber the manager reached out & wanted to make the cut right. She came in on her day off to redo the cut. She was very apologetic. If we go back we will only see amber.

We took our toddler (22 months) for her first haircut (got her bangs trimmed). Kelsy J. was friendly, great with her, and did a great job! She was patient and adapted to her to ensure she was comfortable. We got a picture kit as a souvenir and her hairs which was wonderful. The facility is kid friendly. We will go again and ask for Kelsy J.

Love this place! My 2 year old had his first haircut today and had a great experience sitting in a fun chair, playing with magnetic toys on the steering wheel, and watching a movie. The stylist was great as well. We will definitely be back.
