Percy Avenue Barber Shop

Outstanding customer service at Percy Barbershop this afternoon . We were welcomed immediately and Coach B went above and beyond to make sure my son felt comfortable and valued. Excellent service overall and the haircut looked great. Truly impressed with the care and hospitality. We’ll be back!

Walked in with my little brother for a haircut at around 3 pm. We were not greeted. We sat down and there were 3 men ahead of us. Another man with 2 sons walked in and we all waited about 2 hours for it to be our turn. When it was our turn, the barber asked us if it was okay if the man with the 2 sons could go ahead of us. I'm guessing they were buddies bc he had mentioned to a few different customers that walked in that his buddy was next and he had to be out 5 pm, completely ignoring the fact that we arrived about 30 mins before the man with 2 sons. Very frustrating but we let his buddy go ahead and we were attended by Saul. Not exactly sure that was his name but that's what we heard when the other barber told us he'd be attending us. I stumbled across this place on my way to another place to get my haircut and I was pleasantly surprised. I said to myself, “this looks like a REAL BARBER SHOP” and it was. I love the old school vibe with the checker board floor and the sports memorabilia all over the walls. It’s a huge space with lots of room to just hang out if that’s your thing. I’m pretty sure the guy that cut my hair was the owner but I didn’t catch his name. I’m guessing he was a Lopez since the sign on the wall says “Lopez Corner”. He was a great guy, old school and easy to talk to. No nonsense and understands the value of customer service. I didn’t realize that he is a cash only shop so I didn’t have enough cash to pay in full. He is so cool, he told me whatever I have is enough. I really appreciated his good nat

This barber shop is friendly, does a great cut, and the place is clean. However, be prepared for a wait. My average wait time was about 1.5 hours the last few times they cut my son's hair.
