PENZONE Salon + Spa Polaris

Went to this location after my regular hairstylist at a different penzone had to cancel last minute. The overall experience was OK. Charlotte did her job but was not very friendly and did not try to talk to me. I showed her a picture of what I wanted (pic 1) and ended up with 90s chunky highlights (pic 2) that now I have to get corrected. I am not satisfied at all with the service I got for the price I paid. Update: The management at the salon reached out to me and wanted to make sure that they corrected the situation and I am getting my hair fixed tomorrow without being charged. I appreciate the follow up! For the customer service, I’ve added stars to my review.

I scheduled a last minute appointment with Mae. I wanted a chop. We took over 10inches off my hair and she did such a good job creating what I described to her. She’s the first person to ever get my hair to look how I imagined in my head and I’m definitely going to keep coming back to her. She did an amazing blow out too!

I’m honestly really disappointed with my experience at Penzone. I booked a blowout and showed a picture of the style I wanted, but it honestly felt like my hair was just brushed and lightly dried. There was basically no styling and it looked nothing like the photo I showed. Kenzie was very nice and polite, but the result made it seem like she might not have the experience yet to do the type of blowout I asked for. The most frustrating part is that I booked this appointment because I have a really important trip coming up for my 20th birthday and I wanted my hair to look cute. I loved my experience at Penzone yesterday. I haven't gotten my hair cut in years because of a bad experience I had a while back, so I came in very nervous and anxious about how much work had to be done. Phoebe was my stylist and she did an amazing job. She was so kind, personable, and understanding, and she truly made me feel beautiful. 10/10 would recommend!

I had a disappointing experience with Chelsey and would not recommend Penzone due to her poor communication and unprofessional attitude. At my balayage appointment, I explained that I typically have my hair lightened professionally and then go home and apply a pink semi-permanent color (Good Dye Young - a well-known fashion color brand, not box dye). Chelsey initially misunderstood and became defensive, insisting that “box dye” would prevent the bleach from lifting properly. Once she realized the misunderstanding and that I was not trying to change my hair color, she apologized and shared that she’d had “a lot of people trying to change their color from box dye recently,” and her attitude improved.
