Paintbase Nail Salon

I had a great experience at Paintbase! This nail salon is located right in the heart of North Hills. You can make an appointment online or walk in. They offer pedicures for adults and little ones, manicures and all the most requested nail offerings and shapes that are in style. I had a pink and white fill done by Tiffany with almond shape and she does immaculate work with high attention to detail. The salon is under new management and everyone is customer-oriented and friendly. The salon is clean and classy and open 7 days a week.

I’ve been a customer at Paintbase since 2024 and have never had an issue until this visit. I had a 3:00 appointment for nail removal and a pedicure, and I called to reschedule for 3:30 because I was running late. After my pedicure, I politely asked if my nails could still be done, and the manager’s wife loudly yelled “NO” in front of the entire salon, announcing that I was 30 minutes late and that they weren’t going to do it. I understood they were super busy, and would’ve been okay with being denied. It was her tone. The lack of professionalism and public embarrassment was unnecessary and disappointing. A simple, respectful explanation would have gone a long way.

The place is nice and quiet but is outrageously expensive. They charge you for literally everything. They charge to shape and cut full sets and fill ins, they also charge for every individual thing you choose. They also charge for extra long nails even if they arnt that long. My nail tech did an ok job but definitely not work the price.

I took a little break from getting my nails done. And I now realize how much I’ve missed this place! Absolutely everyone is just so lovely. They do a wonderful job of making each client feel special. It’s so nice to have my hands and nails look good again! My favorite is a full set of nails (with gel buildup), painted with gel polish and topped off with one of the MANY chrome/unicorn colors. They’re just magical. My color lasts until it grows out and I need a fill. I never get chips (unless I accidentally damage one myself, which is really difficult to do). Lily is my most favorite technician. She has never harmed my nails, nail bed or cuticles with any tools. She is a perfectionist and a genuinely wonderful person. The salon is always clean and bright, and a pleasure to go to.
