It's a place to unwind, perhaps pick up a quick gift if needed, (or just treat yourself) from the always-something-fresh boutique. Very disappointed with my shellac/gel manicure. This was my first time at this salon, and unfortunately it will be my last. The techniques are outdated. They do not use electric files. All gel and polish were removed by hand filing and repeated soaking in acetone, which was very damaging to my nails. According to the nail tech and the owner, filing nails by hand and soaking it in toxic acetone is healthier for the nails? When I noticed the nail tech removing my builder gel, I asked why. She said they could not guarantee their work if a different product was used. I was told they offer a 10-day guarantee, yet my nails started chipping on day 3 (my manicures usually last up to 3 weeks). I did not have time or desire to come back for re-do to waste my time and have more damage to my nails. My

My nails chipped the very next day. Scheduled a repair appointment online which then was cancelled same day of the appointment. Fine, I understand, things happen but I also expect teamwork to find a time that works for BOTH parties. But the “owner” wants to be rude and give out random times as if people don’t have their own careers and jobs to show up to. As a holistic practitioner who has referred many to this place, I am really disappointed in the service for the price (which I’m more than willing to pay for quality). The Rochester Hills location is much nicer.
