Very disappointed with how my nails turned out for my wedding this past weekend. This was my first time at this salon. I have gotten gel manicures from another salon once a month for the past 6 months and never had an issue. I got a gel hot pink color on my nails at Ocean Nails salon this past Friday morning. I wake up on Saturday morning, the morning of my wedding, and my nails are a completely different color-a peach/orange color. I didn’t use any new face/hair products, etc that would have affected the nail color. Very upsetting that my nails were not the color I wanted for all of my wedding photos. First photo is day I got my nails done, second one is the next day.

I went to Ocean Nails because the reviews and photos looked great. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. I’ve lived in Charleston almost my entire life, almost to 40 years, and this is honestly the worst nail salon experience I’ve had here. I’m not sure where the good reviews are coming from. Maybe people were given a discount to leave them. Major issues: 1. No sanitation. I was never asked to wash my hands at any time during the service. 2. Dirty monomer. The liquid monomer had chunky old acrylic pieces floating in it. 3. Ignored my request. I asked to shorten my nails to the original length. He didn’t do it. 4. Bulky acrylic. The nails are thick, uneven, and poorly shaped. 5. Inconsistent length. My right index finger is noticeably longer than the others. 6. Ridges and

This was my first time at the nail salon and it was a great experience. I called and made an appointment for a builder gel fill in and my service started right on time. The salon was nice and quiet and relaxing - not too loud or busy. My stylist was Mei (sp?) and she was wonderful 🙌🏼 she did a very thorough job on my nails and was very focused while also having pleasant conversation. She helped me pick a color (I can be very indecisive) and did my nails in a reasonable amount of time. It didn’t feel rushed but it also didn’t take too long. I will definitely go back and ask for the same stylist and I would recommend 😊

Update: My regular nail technician Kay was not available today, however I was taken care of by another skilled technician. I needed the removal of an old set and replaced with a new full set and I wanted a translucent color and their Sheer Collection was suggested and I chose #881 is so beautiful and versatile. Thanks Katie for soaking my nails, they are much healthier since coming to Ocean Nails. New resident to Mt. Pleasant and was looking for a new nail technician for pedicure and nail services. The atmosphere is very clean and pleasant environment. I made my appointment online which was very convenient. I was scheduled with Kay who gave me the absolute best pedicure (Ocean) I’ve ever had. He was very good with reflexology and was hitting all the pressure points I needed. Kay also did

My favorite nail salon ever! The staff is beyond kind and their customer service is wonderful. My nails last for at least 3 weeks, very durable and the quality is amazing. From solid nail colors to designs, Tony’s work is truly so impressive every time he does my nails. So grateful to have found Ocean Nails, I won’t go anywhere else! 10/10, recommend.
