This salon and its incredible staff have truly been a blessing for my family. My son, who is 10 years old and has Autism, used to have very difficult and traumatic experiences with haircuts. Sensory sensitivities and unexpected changes often triggered him, making the whole process stressful for him and for us. This salon is the best in Los Gatos; no, Northern California. The owner is so courteous and accommodating. The hairstylists are extremely friendly and talented. They take extra time to make certain that their clients feel appreciated. In addition, parking is so easy as they actually have their own parking lot-makes going to an appointment stress free.

The employees at Nuvoux The Salon are extremely rude and openly ableist. My mom, who has a valid handicap placard, parked in a handicap spot in the shared parking lot. One of their employees came outside and berated her for parking there, insisting she “can’t park there” and threatening that she would be towed. This was completely incorrect — the spot is not reserved for the salon, and my mom is absolutely entitled to park in any ADA spot. When my mom later stopped inside to calmly ask for that employee’s name, the owner doubled down instead of apologizing. He defended the behavior and repeated that my mom “shouldn’t park there” because it inconveniences their customers. No business that behaves this way toward disabled people deserves anyone’s money.
