Nu Wave Barbershop

Absolutely fantastic experience at New Wave Barber! They took me in on a Sunday, which was incredibly convenient. The atmosphere in the shop was cool and relaxed, and all the guys there were awesome. My barber, Pablo, is not just a barber, but an artist. His skill and attention to detail in my haircut were exceptional. Highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for top-notch service and a great vibe!

$35 appointment + tip haircut. To charge $35 for a haircut and still be a beginner is mind blowing. Do not recommend this barbershop for new people, they will cut your hair after explaining they know what they are doing just to sit in a seat for an 1+ hour trying to correct mistakes. Avoid this location !

We came by there last Sunday. My hubby and son walked in and only had 1 barber and 1 customer. Barber didn’t acknowledge them at all. Not once, the entire 30 minutes they waited. Instead the barber just kept chatting with the customer and took his time finishing up. Hubby and son eventually left since they just kept on with their conversation and not once did barber acknowledge and say anything like “hey I’ll be right with you”… Count that you lost 2 customers from this neighborhood. Oh plus it’s time for you to change your google business account information . Your address is still listed on north lake.

Unfortunately the barber/owner cut my 7 y.o. sons neck, as in the skin was broken open from a simple fade. If the owner of the shop can’t handle a basic fade without opening skin, that is incompetence or carelessness. He did not acknowledge it or apologize the open wound, instead tried to blame my son. My son has never had an issue before. Otherwise, a bargain cut can be had here. Steady flow of customers, somewhat grimy vibe…but I’m sure its good, though not consistently.

Dwight has created that old school barbershop feel where sports and politics fill the air and customers stay after the haircut to further engage. He’s been my barber for 20 + years. Great cut at a fair price with Pasadena’s best banter ...
