I have been getting my haircuts from Tyler for a couple of years now. I wouldn’t have anyone else. He has helped me maintain a professional but also stylish look and has worked with me over time to develop a style that feels personal to me and works with the amount of time and money I’m willing to put into my hair. He is at this point a great friend as well. I will also add Noppera is a peaceful and relaxed environment. I feel better as soon as I walk in the door. I highly recommend the salon and Tyler.
Booked an hour long haircut with Tyler. Finally feel like I found my style. Washed my hair and talked style for 15-20 mins while he messed with my hair to figure out how it naturally falls and what was realistic against the styles I proposed. Ended up with probably the best haircut I've ever had, and more importantly, concrete instructions on how to maintain the style we agreed upon. 10/10 experience. Go here.
Tyler was amazing at educating me the specific types of cuts, layering, and thinning best for my hair. As well as explaining to me the types of cuts and layering not to get and why my hair is the way I thought it was bc of those cuts. Someone that KNOWS hair really makes a difference and I had such a great experience.
Tyler is the best of the best in NYC, and I always walk away feeling like a completely new woman after his cuts. This time I went for a drastic chop and I couldn’t be more obsessed with it. It’s impeccably cut and I’m getting a million compliments!
I used to love this salon but had a genuinely upsetting hair cut two weeks ago. I had seen my stylist for years and he knew I had very long wavy hair, halfway down my back. In my consult, I had requested two inches off and below the collarbone. Somehow, I walked away with shoulder length hair, that paired with my curls gives me curly farquad. While the salon did issue a refund, I had requested the owner call me so I could speak to him rather than leaving this review. During my cut, I had felt like I was not being taken seriously and at some point even said "stop cutting" and the stylist persisted saying he was just cleaning it up. I expressed I was upset with the cut and the stylist said, "Sorry, I guess I am on the naughty list this year," as I walked away. The stylist did apologize for
